Meals and health.
Nutrition and health are part of education.
Meals at
Thames British School
At Thames British School, we believe that meal times are an important part of the school day, a time to enjoy fresh, healthy food together as a community.
Our professional in-house catering team, Saned, prepares a variety of nutritious dishes and snacks every day, using high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients. Seasonal menus are introduced each term, giving pupils and staff the chance to enjoy a wide range of flavours and cuisines throughout the year.
All menus are carefully labelled to identify major allergens, and our catering team is always available to answer questions or provide additional information. We are committed to ensuring that every member of our community can enjoy safe and inclusive dining.
To maintain the highest standards, our caterers undergo regular internal and external audits on food safety and hygiene. Feedback is always welcome, and pupils and staff are encouraged to share suggestions so we can continue to improve and adapt our service.
Health and wellbeing.
We have a dedicated medical room and a qualified school nurse on site to provide first aid throughout the school day. As part of our academic programme, the nurse also delivers health education to our pupils.
Our nurse works with the school and families to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people. We provide medical support for students with allergies, disabilities, chronic conditions and other health needs, as well as in emergency situations.
Clear procedures are in place for obtaining additional medical support in more serious situations, and these are communicated to students, parents and staff. We fully comply with all requirements set by the Community of Madrid and the Ministry of Health.
Join our family at any time of the year.
At Thames British School, we are proud to be an inclusive international school welcoming students from 1 to 18 years old. We accept applications throughout the year and support each family at every stage of the admissions process.
