Sports, art and music at
Thames British School
We foster creativity and build trust.
At Thames British School, we believe that education goes far beyond the classroom. Sport, art, and drama play a vital role in nurturing creativity, building confidence, and encouraging every student to discover their unique talents. These opportunities enrich academic life and help our pupils flourish as well-rounded individuals.
Performing Arts
The performing arts give our pupils the freedom to express themselves, explore their imagination, and grow in confidence. Through drama, music, and dance, students develop creativity and individuality in a way that energises their school life.
Our drama department benefits from excellent facilities, including a spacious Assembly Hall with staging. Every year, pupils of all ages take part in productions directed by our drama teacher, showcasing their skills and talents in front of the school community.
Visual Arts
From the Early Years onwards, pupils are encouraged to explore their ideas, experiment with a wide variety of media, and learn from the work of artists past and present. Creativity and innovation are nurtured at every stage, with specialist art teaching inspiring children to think boldly and independently.
One of the highlights of the year is our Arts Week, where pupils embark on hands-on projects , arriving with an idea and leaving with a completed piece of work. It is a celebration of imagination, discovery, and craftsmanship.
Sport for all
Sport is central to life at Thames. We aim to introduce pupils to a wide range of activities, nurture sporting talent, and foster a lifelong love of physical activity.
From the Early Years onwards, children benefit from specialist sports lessons that build confidence and skills, regardless of ability. While we focus on key sports such as football, athletics, and running, pupils also enjoy opportunities in basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, and more.
In Secondary, Physical Education becomes a crucial subject, with many students choosing it as part of their IGCSE studies. Whether for fun, fitness, or competition, sport at Thames encourages teamwork, resilience, and healthy living.
Join our family at any time of the year.
