Thames houses.

Houses at
Thames British School
At Thames, our House system lies at the heart of school life. We have four Houses, each reflecting one of our core values:
North
Integrity
South
Curiosity
West
Resilience
East
Collaboration
We foster strong links between year groups.
Beyond the activities of the wider school, every House in secondary has its own vibrant community. Pupils enjoy taking part in friendly competitions, sporting events, and social activities that strengthen bonds across year groups.
Each student is allocated a personal tutor within their House. Meeting both formally and informally each week, tutors build a strong understanding of their pupils’ interests, strengths, and achievements. This allows them to act as trusted mentors, supporting students in balancing academics with extra-curricular activities, making subject choices, and preparing for university.
Working closely with our Head of Houses, tutors provide the backbone of our pastoral care network. Together, they ensure that every pupil is guided and supported throughout their journey at Thames, with the Head of Houses also serving as the main point of contact for parents.
The House system not only helps pupils make the most of their time at Thames, but also enables them to grow and flourish as well-rounded individuals, ready to face the future with confidence.
Join our family at any time of the year.
At Thames British School, we are proud to be an inclusive international school welcoming students from 1 to 18 years old. We accept applications throughout the year and support each family at every stage of the admissions process.
