Primary

Exceptional beginnings.

Primary at
Thames British School.

Building strong foundations for lifelong learning

In Key Stage 1 (Years 1–2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6), our philosophy is to nurture curiosity and foster an intrinsic love of learning.

At Thames British School, our Primary programme lays the foundations for confident, independent learners who are curious about the world around them. Through a holistic approach to education, we encourage each child to explore, question, and develop their own personality at their own pace. Working in partnership with parents, we create consistency between home and school, helping children to thrive both academically and personally.

Enthusiastic teachers

Equipping students for a rapidly evolving world.

Our enthusiastic teachers are specialists in their fields, inspiring pupils through engaging lessons and hands-on experiences. From the earliest years, children are introduced to a wide range of subjects, building on core areas such as English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Art, Drama, PE and PSHE, while also benefitting from specialist lessons in Music and Modern Foreign Languages.

Alongside academic development, we place great importance on emotional intelligence and wellbeing, ensuring that our pupils are well-prepared for the challenges of an ever-changing world.

Thames offers a curriculum based on the best of the English National Curriculum and
the Spanish L.O.M.L.O.E (Ley Orgánica 3/2020, 29th December). The percentage of time
dedicated to the study of each language is represented below: L.O.M.L.O.E.

From Years 1–6, children move through a carefully structured programme that develops creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and independence. By the end of Primary, they are well-prepared both academically and personally for the next stage of their journey.

Join our family at any time of the year.

At Thames British School, we are proud to be an inclusive international school welcoming students from 1 to 18 years old. We accept applications throughout the year and support each family at every stage of the admissions process.
