Early Years
at Thames British School.
Inspiring curiosity, nurturing confidence
At Thames British School, our Early Years programme provides children with a joyful and stimulating introduction to education. We offer a safe, caring, and creative environment where every child is encouraged to explore, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
In our Pre-Pre-Nursery (1–2 years) and Pre-Nursery (2–3 years), Nursery (3-4) and Reception groups (4-5), we focus on creating a loving environment where children feel secure and free to express their interests. We combine child-led play with adult-guided learning to develop creativity, social skills, and a growing awareness of the world around them.
Small groups
Individual attention
Our dedicated teachers work in small groups, ensuring each child receives the individual attention they need to build confidence, curiosity, and independence. Through a carefully designed Early Years curriculum, children are introduced to a wide variety of learning experiences that nurture both academic and personal growth.
Each day, our pupils enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, music, role play, early literacy and numeracy. Enrichment opportunities, including dance and sport, add further depth, while our classrooms open directly onto outdoor spaces where children can learn, play, and socialise year-round.
At Thames, we believe that these early years lay the foundation for future success, helping children become confident, independent, and caring individuals.
Join our family at any time of the year.
